LINEAGE: In Her Hands — Becoming
A sculptural paper studio experience on growth, transformation, and the art of becoming.
Sunday, May 17 • 2–5 PM • 1040 Creative Gallery
There are moments in life that change us.
Moments that ask us to become someone new —
sometimes gently, sometimes all at once.
April marks one of those moments in my own life.
A turning point that shaped who I am today…
and who I am still becoming.
This studio session is an invitation to explore that for yourself.
During this intimate gathering, participants will create a symbolic sculptural piece using paper.
You’ll begin by forming paper hands — representing what you’ve been given, what you carry, and what has shaped you.
From there, you’ll build a dimensional flower emerging from within the hands — a reflection of who you are becoming.
Guided by artist Yetha Buckley of Precisely Embellished, you’ll learn the layering techniques behind her sculptural paper work while moving through a thoughtful and creative process.
This is not a traditional workshop.
It is a space to slow down, reflect, and create something meaningful with your hands.
• A guided, artist-led studio session
• Gentle reflection prompts woven into the process
• Instruction in sculptural paper techniques
• A supportive and intimate creative environment
• A finished symbolic artwork to take home
This experience is for you if:
• you’re in a season of change or growth
• you’ve been reflecting on your journey
• you’re craving time to create and reconnect
• you want something more meaningful than a typical night out
No prior art experience is needed.
Becoming is not a single moment.
It is something we return to again and again —
through growth, reflection, and the quiet act of creating.
Founding Seats (Limited): $95
General Admission: $120
Seats are intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy of the experience.
Reserve your seat and join us for an afternoon of intentional making.
